Cell and in vivo model systems

We have a broad range of model systems in which to study disease mechanisms in genetic skeletal diseases and also aspects of ER stress.

The mouse models we have generated are either gene-targeted knock-ins, transgenic (phenocopies), cartilage and/or bone knock-outs.

Electronic Lab Note books (ELN)

We are pioneering the use of electronic lab notebooks that we have developed in collaboration with Certus Technology Associates Ltd. Well they did all the work really, we just needed to move away from paper notebooks!

See here for further details ELN Flyer 1.

An example of a Research Map linking back to the electronic lab notes is shown below.

We have also been using tools within our database to measure long bones and store them automatically with the appropriate mice.
